Council hears presentation on bond issue

The regular Monday, Sept. 20 meeting of the Cave Creek Town Council focused on financial matters and a presentation by Dr. Cort Monroe, CCUSD Superintendent.

On the financial agenda:

  • Approved a request by The Sonoran Arts League to expend Town of Cave Creek Community Grant funds for the creation of an Interactive Digital Map to be used for the Hidden in the Hills Annual Event.
  • Approved a Two-year Term Cooperative Purchasing Agreement Contract with B&F Contracting, Inc. for repairs to the Town Wastewater Collection System for an amount, not to exceed, $400,000.
  • Approved a Three-year Term Cooperative Purchasing Agreement Contract with Degan Construction, LLC for Repair and Maintenance of Water and Wastewater Collection System(s) Concrete Structures for an Amount Not to Exceed $250,000.
  • Approved Contract Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Service Agreement with GHD, Inc., for an Amount Not to Exceed $27,910.

Early in the meeting, Dr. Monroe gave a presentation regarding the school bond issue, which is approaching its vote. Dr. Monroe made his case for the bond and provided visual slides to illustrate his points, several of which can be seen below.
