At the regular Monday, May 17 meeting of the Cave Creek Town Council, council unanimously approved a motion to adopt the Town of Cave Creek Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Tentative Budget in the amount of $40,016,980. As a side note, it was pointed out that the budget is actually very close to last year’s, but with the additional allocation devoted to ongoing fire protection issues.
Mayor Bunch took a moment to remind everyone of the upcoming rodeo and encouraged all to attend.
While considerable time was devoted to zoning issues, first and second reading scenarios, the meeting closed rather easily with the budget vote — following the approval of the Tentative Budget, expenditures can be moved within the budget or lowered, but the overall total expenditures cannot be increased.
