Wildfire danger

A wildfire in Cave Creek is a very real danger that could spread quickly, fueled by dry brush and by the spreading crop of Globe Camille. An out of control fire could destroy your home, your property and perhaps even your life. You may recall several wildfires in the area this summer – Fires that burned and blackened hundreds of acres south of Cave Creek and in New River.

Last year the Town of Cave Creek approved a “Home Occupation” or home business permit to Councilman Paul Diefenderfer and his Desert Rat Forge -Welding/Torching/Metal Grinding business – Without having a home on the property. A few months ago, about 40 Cave Creek residents filed a complaint with the Town. Eventually, the Town revoked the aforementioned permit.  However, the terms of the revocation were murky, conditional and temporary allowing the home occupation business permit to be reissued quickly and easily. We need to assure the permit will not be reissued.

The appeal before the 3-person Board of Adjustment on Tuesday will help the entire Cave Creek community – That is, if we prevail. We need everyone’s support by attending the meeting

Please attend this short hearing on Tuesday at 7:00 PM and support your friends and neighbors and protect your home and property from the potential of a wildfire.

Thank you.
John
