I urge the Council to STOP the funding for the trail to nowhere that nobody knows about and nobody wants. Nobody in the immediate area I have spoken with knows about or wants the 1.6 mile dead-end trail.
True Cave Creekers moved to desert rural areas for privacy. Nobody wants tourists in their back or front yard. Why is a town that can’t afford sidewalks in the town core spending money on this silly dead-end trail?
The proposed Highland Road Trail will be located on either side of the Highland Road right-of-way – E of Schoolhouse Rd., (Highland Road) within the Town of Cave Creek. The width of the proposed trail will be approximately 4 ft. wide and 1.6 miles long and will potentially cross over the paved surface of Highland Road 3 – 4 times.
