Re: April 4, 2018 Carefree may expand water service article

Dear Mr. Sorchych,

In an article written by Mr. Wes Grunden on April 18, 2018 for the Sonoran News (https://sonorannews.com/2018/04/18/carefree‐may‐expand‐water‐service/) it was reported the Town of Carefree had retained the engineering firm Coe and Van Loo II, LLC (CVL) to assist in the evaluation of the water system in southwest portion of the Town of Carefree which is currently served by the Town of Cave Creek. Further, the article mentioned that Willdan Financial Services (Willdan) would be assisting CVL with certain financial analyses related to this evaluation. The article also mentions that Willdan serves as the rate consultant to the Town of Cave Creek. For the record, Willdan asserts that while serving in its capacity as rate consultant to the Town of Cave Creek and supporting CVL in the evaluation of the water system located in the southwest portion of the Town of Carefree, no information, data findings or analyses has been or will be shared between the parties without the express written permission of the Town of Cave Creek and/or the Town of Carefree. We have taken steps such as password protecting files to ensure that the Town of Cave Creek files are kept confidential and cannot be accessed by other parties not directly involved in the Cave Creek project.

Sincerely,

WILLDAN FINANCIAL SERVICES
