Return $36,000

God Bless America

Honesty is the best policy

Ray Rhinehart’s mother passed away recently leaving him a doll collection, which he donated to a Santa Monica, CA thrift shop that employs some very honest clerks. So honest, says the Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC], that workers didn’t hesitate to track Rhinehart down in order to return $36,000 found in one of the boxes containing an antique porcelain doll.

Up for bids

A Houston, TX homeowner didn’t wait for potential buyers to start a bidding war when he put his house up for sale. He took matters into his own hands right from the get-go, reports the Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC].  He posted a for sale sign on his lawn that read “Asking Price $1 – Please submit best offer.” The five-bedroom home is appraised at more than $250,000.

No cheating

Algerian high school students who thought they could get away with cheating on their year-end exams using Internet-enabled cell phones and tablets had another think coming, according to the Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC]. The government ordered nationwide Internet shut downs during the times when the tests were underway.
