The future music scene looks bright, based on the performances at Saturday evening’s Rock the District. The event held at Stagecoach Village showcased student musicians in grades 6 – 12 performing a wide variety of music. A large crowd was treated to top notch tunes performed by both groups and solo performers.
Rock the District, in its eight year history, has raised over $200,000 for the Cave Creek Unified Education Foundation. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization helping to provide funding for programs in the Cave Creek Unified School District that may not be able to be maintained through traditional funding sources with emphasis on what the foundation calls it’s four pillars; technology, music and the arts, international learning, and health and wellness.
