The petroglyphs found in Spur Cross were created hundreds of years ago by the Hohokam people. Come and walk in their footsteps as we visit a few of the more impressive sites in the conservation area during this two hour hike. No dogs on this hike. (moderate)

Fairy Duster and Mariposa Hill Hike

Come out and explore the two newest trails in the conservation area – the Fairy Duster Trail and the Mariposa Hill Trail. We will also add a trip around the Metate Trail for a grand total of about three miles. (moderate)

Come out to the Nature Center and meet Earth Science Teacher, Joe Ford.  Joe will give a brief presentation of Geology and then take you for a short hike on one of the Park’s scenic trails where you’ll experience the Geology, right under your feet!  Bring plenty of water and don’t forget your cameras!  ***Afterwards, please join us in the Nature Center for Joe’s fabulous presentation of the “Geology of the Grand Canyon”!  Arizona is a diverse state geologically with a very interesting history!  Don’t miss it!

“Marshmallows!” It’s just a fun word to say, right? The Ranger will make it even more fun as we sit around the campfire roasting sticky, sweet “marshmallows”! Sometimes we hear coyotes howling and owls hooting! Sometimes …, well, you just never know! Meet out back of the Nature Center for some fireside fun. No pets, please.
