The NFL collectively appears to be either fools or hypocrites, when Tim Tebow took a knee in prayer, there was outrage as he thanked his God. NFL players did not defend him, nor the league, most pointed a finger of scorn at the man for mixing sport and religion.
Their are hundreds of young men and women who wore the uniform of the U.S. military who can only wish they could take a knee because theirs were sacrificed in battle defending the right of the misguided to bend one in protest on national television. It would be different were they kneeling to pray for the 58 innocents who lost their lives in Las Vegas, but they are not. And, their poison has spread to school children who view it as cool.
NFL owners take note: these disrespectful shallow malcontents work for you and their disrespect is costing you money. Remind them that they may protest anything they please, it’s their right, but not on your dime, ask them to stay in the clubhouse during the anthem. Don’t mix sports with politics, fans don’t want to see it. We will empty your stadiums and your pockets. Entertain, don’t preach. Stupidity costs money – billions.
