Local archer inducted into Archery Hall of Fame

Dr. Randy Ulmer, center, was inducted into the Archery Hall of Fame in Springfield, Missouri.

Long time Cave Creek resident Dr. Randy Ulmer was inducted into the Archery Hall of Fame on September 3rd. The ceremony took place at the Archery Hall of Fame Museum in Springfield Missouri.

Randy was inducted into the Hall of Fame based on his competitive archery accomplishments. He has won world and national titles in many different archery disciplines. He has won seven Professional World Championships and medaled in three ESPN Great Outdoor Games.

While a member of the US archery team, Randy became the first archer ever to win an individual WORLD ARCHERY (FITA) World Championship using a Compound Bow. He was the Association of Professional Archers ‘Shooter of the Year’ on two separate occasions

Randy has long been (and continues to be) deeply involved in the Archery industry in many capacities at the local, state and national level. He has been a long-standing, enthusiastic ambassador for the sport of archery. Randy lives in Cave Creek with his wife Tammy and son’s Jake and Levi.
