Why Trump will win

In 1948 Tom Dewey was sure he had the election won.  He was so sure, he started picking his cabinet members.

This year, Hillary Clinton thinks she has the election won and last week she announced that she was spending time picking members of her cabinet.

Harry Truman beat Tom Dewey.

Donald Trump is going to beat Hillary Clinton.

Here’s why…

While the mainstream media is doing their best to convince you and me that Hillary Clinton has the election in the bag, it’s simply not true.

This election is far from over.

The media conveniently ignores the fact that in 1988, at this very same point in time, George H.W. Bush was trailing Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis by 16 points.  And, in the 1980 election, Ronald Reagan was behind Jimmy Carter 47% to 39%.

It’s no secret that there are “Democrat” pollsters and “Republican” pollsters.

These folks are bought and paid for.  They do what they are paid to do.

If they are asked by their client to slant the poll by oversampling Democrats or oversampling Republicans to obtain a specific outcome, they do it, no questions asked.

But, like magic, when the race comes down to the last couple of weeks prior to the election, all the polls show that the race is close.  Of course, they have to do this or else they would lose all their credibility.

Polling by firms hired by candidates and political parties is just another political game.

That’s why I rely on the Rasmussen poll which is independent of any candidate. And, as of today, the Rasmussen national poll shows Hillary Clinton with 41% and Donald Trump with 39%.

In other words, this race is a dead heat.

Of course, the only poll that counts is the one that takes place on November 8.

And, frankly, if we do our job, Hillary Clinton will be handily defeated.

As you know, in North Carolina we ran ads over black radio stations during the 2014 race for U.S. Senate.  Those ads raised the black vote for the Republican challenger for U.S. Senate from 1% at two months out to 18% by Election Day.

This same kind of effort was tried first in 2002, and then again in 2004, 2008, and 2010.  And, each time it was tried it worked superbly.  There were no exceptions.

In each case the vote total for the Republican candidate jumped more than 14%.

Our plan is simple for 2016.

We intend to blanket the key swing states of North Carolina, Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania with radio ads aimed at African Americans, just as we did in the 2014 North Carolina Senate race.

If we do that and the results are the same as we have achieved in the past, Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States.

This week, our media specialist, Tony Marsh, started purchasing radio air time in North Carolina and Ohio.  The total cost of those ads is about $636,000.

About 10 days later, Tony will start purchasing radio air time in Florida and Pennsylvania.

The cost of those ads is $599,000 (Florida $381,000 and Pennsylvania $218,000).

We have the funds needed to pay for all radio ads in North Carolina and Ohio, but that leaves us with only $205,000 cash on hand for radio advertising in Florida and Pennsylvania.

As you can see, we are $394,000 short of what we need to purchase radio air time in the critical states of Florida and Pennsylvania.

That means we only have 28 days to raise the funds we need to purchase radio air time in Florida and Pennsylvania.

I believe that without these ads, Hillary could squeak through to victory.

That’s how important our radio ads to black Americans are.

And, as you know, Donald Trump is now making a strong appeal to African Americans to support him instead of Hillary Clinton.

This is what he said just a few days ago in Milwaukee, and he has said the same things in Detroit, in Virginia, and everywhere else he is campaigning.

“Look at how much African-American communities are suffering from Democratic control.  What do you have to lose by trying something new like Trump? … You live in poverty.  Your schools are no good.  You have no jobs — 58 percent of your youth is unemployed.”

Of course, the Hillary campaign is screaming bloody murder.  They know that their hold on black Americans is based on the slender thread of the despicable lie that conservatives and Republicans are racist.

Donald Trump has called them out for what they are, hypocritical racists.

Perhaps the most insightful commentary on Donald Trump’s outreach to African Americans came from Dr. Thomas Sowell…

“Who would have thought that Donald Trump, of all people, would be addressing the fact that the black community suffers the most from a breakdown of law and order?  But sanity on racial issues is sufficiently rare that it must be welcomed, from whatever source it comes.

When establishment Republicans have addressed the problems of blacks at all, it has too often been in terms of what earmarked benefits can be offered in exchange for their votes.  And there was very little that Republicans could offer to compete with the Democrats’ whole universe of welfare state earmarks.

Law and order, however, is not an earmarked benefit for any special group.  It is a policy for all that is especially needed by law-abiding blacks, who are the principal victims of those who are not law-abiding.

Education is another area where something that is needed by all segments of the population is especially needed by blacks and other low-income minorities.  In other words, here again there is no need for a divisive policy of earmarked benefits, in order to attract new voters into a ‘big tent.’

No matter what policy Republicans follow, they are not going to win a majority of the black votes this year, nor perhaps even this decade.

Nor is that necessary.  Just an erosion of the Democrats’ monopoly of the black votes can benefit both Republicans and the black community, who are currently taken for granted by the Democrats.”

As an African American who grew up in a poor black community, Dr. Sowell knows whereof he speaks.

And, what Dr. Sowell suggests is precisely what you and I are doing through our black radio station outreach to black Americans.  Our goal is to erode the Democrat’s monopoly on black voters.

The Democrats don’t give a whit about African Americans.  They only see them as a voting block to be manipulated and used as a means to gain power.

The fact is that Barack Obama has, and Hillary Clinton will, undermine the foundation of our republic.

So, what’s your wager?

Can the United States survive four or eight years of another Obama-like administration that includes…

  • The appointment of judges like Ruth Bader Ginsberg who do not have any commitment to the Constitution?
  • An accelerating loss of public morality and virtue?
  • A foreign policy that ignores the growing threat from Islamic terrorism, as well as military advances by China and Russia?
  • An economy struggling under an enormous burden of debt, strangling regulations, and job killing taxes?
  • A Supreme Court that disarms law abiding citizens so only criminals and the government have guns?

That’s the prospect we are facing under President Hillary Clinton.

Yet, I believe that with God’s blessing, we can not only defeat Hillary Clinton, but also put our nation back on the path to greatness.

I don’t put my trust in Donald Trump.  I put my trust in God.

But, I also believe that I have been called to “stand in the gap” and do everything I can to save America for generations yet unborn.

So, I am asking you to once again stand with me as we head down the stretch to a presidential election on November 8 that will determine if the United States will remain free or whether it will continue to slide into a European socialist state.

You and I hold the key to this election.

Just as our ads over black radio stations made it possible for Thom Tillis to be elected to the United States Senate in North Carolina in 2014, our ads can make it possible for Donald Trump to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016.

I pray that we do not come up short.

Please help today if you possibly can.

Whatever you can send will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Sincerely
