Power Grid at Maximum
We’re all being sold a scam yet it’s front page news. (e.g., “High Demand” 8/26/11, p.1, Arizona Republic)
Arizona is “breaking records for energy...warnings to conserve power...nearly all plants and lines in operation...Texas narrowly avoids rolling blackouts...”
Get it? Let me help you connect the dots.
We’re borderline out of power, but our president has nixed plans for new coal-fired electric plants, our main source of electricity. He’s saving us from... what exactly? The enviros are terrified of nuclear so that’s not happening, wind power and solar will remain cute science projects for decades (when it’s windy or sunny), hydro-power is maxed out.
So why is the media and industry promoting electric cars? Where’s that juice supposed to come from? Make the national fleet run off... power stations? OMG. It’s a scam. Can’t be done. But at least, government is pouring buckets of our cash into the makers’ pockets. And the “news” media is right on board, gushing green-energy rechargeable tripe (just Google “Arizona Republic electric cars” or similar). Cut the crud, connect the dots, inform the public.

Obama’s greatest fear....THE TRUTH
On Sept.14, 2011, inside a Hawaiian Federal Courthouse, Barack Obama’s transparency will be severely tested, due to an historic event which took place on Aug.8. On that date, Dr. Orly Taitz, a steadfast attorney challenging Obama’s Presidential eligibility, previously had a court-ordered subpoena issued and served upon the Hawaiian Health Dept. director, Dr. Loretta Fuddy, ordering the production of their copy of Obama’s original “Certificate of Live Birth”, along with other pertinent documents for examination by competent authorities as to their authenticity. The Health Dept. ignored the subpoena. On Aug.8, Dr. Taitz met with Health Dept. officials who refused to release any documents for viewing or analysis, again ignoring the subpoena previously served on them. If ever an opportunity presented itself for Obama to display transparency this was it, yet, as in all previous instances, he refused to release any documents. Dr. Taitz was now forced to seek assistance and a Federal Court has now ordered the Health Dept. and specifically Dr. Fuddy to appear in Court on Sept.14, 2011, to justify ignoring the subpoena.
This is an issue of monumental significance yet the Major Media Outlets never mentioned it to their viewers and readers. Even Fox News is guilty in this regard. Their Bill O’Reilly originally claimed he saw the original Hawaiian Birth Certificate, but, when challenged, changed his story to “my staff actually saw it” when, in fact, the only document Obama had ever shown the Public was a “Certification of Live Birth(COLB). Also, for Mr. O’Reilly to sarcastically say that “birthers imply Obama’s family anticipated that Baby Obama would someday seek the Presidency and therefore sought an American identity for him” insulted the intelligence of all his viewers. In reality, the benefits of obtaining an American “naturalized” citizen status were many, including a right to seek to drive a car but not our Nation. Since Mr. O’Reilly avoids serious commentary or analysis on this issue, I suggest, when ending his weekly TV shows with his “the spin stops here”, he adds “except when we continually stonewall or ridicule the Obama eligibility issue.”

Don’t blame this one on the Tea Party!!
Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco are the latest examples of violent “Flash Mobs” appearing on the streets of America. Gangs of anarchists are destroying property, assaulting pedestrians and stealing from neighborhood small businesses. Many of these mobs are disguised as some form of legitimate protest and their participants cite “First Amendment Rights to Free Speech” as justification for their actions. This activity is simply evolving into a more innovative method to engage in various forms of criminal activity. Large numbers of people conspiring through social networking to commit crime have a better chance of escaping capture and punishment because of the concept that there is “safety in numbers.” However, you may note the birth of this type of criminal mayhem is being generated from cities with a history of being controlled by Liberal/Democratic administrations that actively promote the “entitlement mentality.” It is also interesting to note the ten most poverty stricken major metropolitan areas of the United States have a long history of being controlled by Democrats. These out of control mobs are the direct product of a Liberal ideology that dictates the entitlement of government monies, goods and services to the most unproductive members of their constituency. When the recipients perceive they are being “short changed” by government handouts, they basically become angered, riot, loot, and assault anyone who is perceived to be an obstacle in obtaining their freebies. Nice job Democrats!! Please keep in mind that the participants in this mayhem are not “Tea Party” Conservatives or “Right Wingers” as these groups are most often the targets of demonization by the mainstream media.

History repeats itself!
With all the repetitive talk about how the Tea Party is our mortal enemy I must remind the bulk of the "I want to be a millionaire" and "American Idol " crowd that the reason we are so bankrupt ,with no end in sight, is because it took too long to create the "Tea Party."
Who the hell do you think brought us to where we are now? Ron Paul??? To quote Joseph Goebbels of Nazi German: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Maybe that is why the press and their sponsors fear Palin, Bachman and Ron Paul to such a hysterical degree!

Civic duty
Don't bother thanking me. I just think of it as my civic duty to pass on a little bit of wisdom every day.
The English language has some wonderfully anthropomorphic collective nouns for the various groups of animals.
We are all familiar with the common terms such as, a herd of cows, a flock of chickens, a school of fish, a pride of lions and a gaggle of geese.
However, less widely known are, a murder of crows (as well as their cousins the rooks and ravens), an exaltation of doves, and, presumably because they look so wise, a parliament of owls.
Now consider a group of Baboons. They are the loudest, most dangerous, most obnoxious, most viciously aggressive and least intelligent of all primates. And what is the proper collective noun for a group of baboons?
Believe it or not ...... a Congress!
I guess that pretty much explains everything that comes out of Washington.

An innovative plan to make much needed changes to our political system
I've had it with bickering, finger pointing politicians who tell me one thing and do another.
Our government officials are not doing the job I elected them to, and I demand a change. I found that change in an innovative plan developed by Tim Cox. Tim spent 25 years creating innovative solutions in the tech industry and his plan has restored my confidence that we the people CAN return our country to greatness, devoid of special interest groups and career politicians.
I invite you to join me in getting behind Tim and restore integrity to our government. If you don't do it who will? Learn and make a commitment at www.goooh.com
Take back our country!

Hamas at it again
Dear President Obama:
Unprovoked attacks on civilians in southern Israel once again show the objective of Iran-backed Hamas, to destroy the Jewish people.
Israel has the right to defend itself. Its people should not have to live in constant fear of being attacked.
The international community should cut all ties with Hamas, which is supported by Iran. It should oppose the Palestinian bid for statehood back by the U.N. and support the return to unconditional peace talks with Israel.
Sincerely,

Attacks on Israel
Thursday, August 18, Iran-backed Hamas and its terrorist allies launched a new and entirely unprovoked series of deadly attacks on Israeli civilians. They targeted civilians riding on buses and in cars, killing eight people. Over the weekend, they escalated the assaults by firing about 100 rockets and missiles at Israeli towns, killing yet another person and wounding several others.
The Israeli response has been restrained and carefully targeted at terrorists. Israel gave the terrorists a chance to calm the situation; instead the terrorists continued firing scores of rockets at Israeli civilians.
Israelis should not have to live in constant fear of terror and rocket attacks and have the right to defend themselves.
The United States and the international community should condemn these attacks unreservedly and should cut off ties with Hamas, a terrorist organization that receives money and weapons from Iran and is committed to destroying Israel.
Sincerely,
Frank Jacobson

Israel is under attack
The international community should be aware of recent terrorist attacks in Israel and oppose attempts for Palestinian statehood knowing it will be under the rule of Hamas, a terrorist organization backed by Iran.

The two families suing CCUSD
I just have 2 simple questions for the two families suing the school district.
1. Where does personal accountability come to play here? (Who would you sue if your child fell off the slide in your own backyard or if your child hit you in the face with a ball in your own back yard?)
2. What kind of lesson are you teaching your children? (that they should sue every time they get hurt doing what kids do every day and that some how someone else is responsible for that)
And people wonder why schools can't afford the important things like books and teachers...
And then parents wonder why there kids feel so "entitled"....
Could it be they are learning this behavior from their parents?
Pretty soon there will be no opportunities for our kids to have any fun or play sports at school and you can thank the "sue" happy society we live in these days.
Think about that next time your taxes go up!

Joining the "Modern Whig Party?"
For some, choosing a political party is a straight forward process. But what happens when someone indicates their political party preference as the Flying Spaghetti Monster Party, or Zombie Hunters of America Party?
As most of us are aware, Arizona has five officially recognized state parties. Americans Elect, Green, Democratic, Libertarian and Republican. And out of the 3.2 million voters in Arizona, these parties encompass 2.1 million voters. That leaves 1.1 million unaffiliated voters who have chosen not to indicate a party preference, or listed a party which isn't one of the five recognized parties.
Since 2002, the state's online voter registration system (EZ Voter) has processed hundreds of thousands of registrations. The web application verifies your eligibility to vote by comparing your driver license number to that of your residential address in real time. To complete the process, the system requires you to designate a recognized political party, or list a party preference in the "Other Party" field. If the registrant lists something other than one of the state's recognized parties in that particular field, they are placed into the "Other" category of active registered voters.
In addition to reports on voter registration figures, EZ Voter provides our office with a listing of "Other Party" preferences where a few people have taken the opportunity to express themselves in humorous ways, which brings us back to the Flying Spaghetti Monster Party.
In a recent report spanning nearly a year's worth of EZ Voter registrations, we had several entries which captured our attention. The Awesome Party, Charles Barkleyism Party, Dance Party Party, Democrasaurus Rex Party, Galactic Empire Party, Pants Party, Jethronomics Party and several listings of the Pirate Party to name but a few.
While many of these party preferences are funny, they offer us a glimpse of how people view their participation in the process. As we've seen, some view it lightheartedly. Others view the opportunity to list a party preference as a chance to make a political or ideological statement by declaring themselves a member of the Constitutionalist, Conservation or Tea Party. Some voters quite clearly indicate their discontent by calling themselves Apathatarians, or members of the Disaffected Party.
Whatever the reason, these voters do not feel compelled to designate a party preference or align themselves with formally recognized parties. Regardless, the responsibility to perform our civic duty remains. And that's why we must continue to encourage Independent voters to participate in the process.
So whether you are a member of the Klingon Party, Coffee Party, the Honest and Competent Party, Awesome Party, or the Good Decision Maker Party, exercise your most basic of rights. Vote!

Ounce of prevention worth pound of cure
We should turn our current sick care system into a true health care system.
A new Center for Rural Affairs report entitled, Prevention and Public Health, examines how the Affordable Care Act seeks to place a greater emphasis on disease prevention and health by promoting strategies that will help create healthier people and healthier communities.
Chronic diseases and conditions such as heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes are responsible for seven of ten American deaths each year and 75 percent of the nation’s health spending. Rural residents experience these diseases and conditions or the circumstances that lead to them in generally greater numbers. Unhealthy lifestyles, lack of access to healthy food (e.g. food deserts), and less physical activity due in part to a lack of gyms, recreational areas and biking/hiking trails, help cause this.
However, many behaviors lead to these chronic conditions and to poor health - behaviors such as tobacco use, poor diet, physical inactivity and alcohol abuse. Unfortunately, rural residents have greater rates of engaging in these behaviors.
According to the Center’s report, a ten percent increase in public health spending will help control health care costs and reduce mortality rates for infant deaths, heart disease, diabetes and cancer by as much as seven percent. Given the rural disparities in the current health care system, rural America’s farmers, ranchers, mainstreet businesses and small town residents have much to gain from emphasizing health and prevention.
Other findings of the report can be found here: http://files.cfra.org/pdf/prevention-and-public-health.pdf
