Cave Creek Wild West Days hosts The Walk for “100”
As part of the Cave Creek Wild West Days, The Walk For “100” will take place on Sunday, November 7, to benefit the 100 Club of Arizona. The 20-minute walk will begin at the corner of Cave Creek and School House Road in Cave Creek. Participants, on foot and horseback, will consist of members of public safety and fire services, along with members of the community. A $5 fee per walker will be collected and donated to the 100 Club of Arizona. The path will continue to the Buffalo Chip Saloon, where walkers can indulge in a complimentary Chuckwagon sponsored brunch.
Secretary of the Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce, Jean Glass, is the Wild West Days Committee Chair and feels this event is a great way to give back to the heroes of the Valley. “There is such a strong presence of service organizations in the Cave Creek-Carefree-Desert Foothills area, that the Wild West Days Committee and the Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce felt it was appropriate to recognize the work these men and women do every day,” Glass said. “This is a simple but powerful way for our community, its merchants and citizens to give back in thanks.”
