The Tim and D.J. Show stuns Falcons
John Sanders’ Cats get 55-21 revenge
FALCON STADIUM – For the rest of her days, Lai Yi Ohlsen, the delightfully-spirited Student Body president and varsity cheerleader, will rightfully recall Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 as the night on which she was hailed by her fellow seniors as Cactus Shadows Homeoming Queen. Sadly, for “King” John Leonard, perhaps the most seriously-determined Football Falcon, he will remember, for too long, the awkwardness and embarrassment he felt that his halftime “coronation” on the home sideline came with the stunned Falcons on the wrong end of a deflating 0-28 score. Meet the Football Falcon seniors …
Victor Gutierrez
At 6’, 230 lbs., Victor Gutierrez looks the part of the offensive lineman (guard) he’s been since he first put on pads as a freshman Football Falcon. Don’t let his physicality fool you: Victor has a big heart and a subtle sense of humor (about himself). Keep Reading...

Beat Saguaro Oct. 19; McClintock here Oct. 21
CSHS – I can’t punch up from my fading memory when the Arizona Interscholastic Association began compiling Power Points rankings; but unless a Cactus Shadows volleyball alumna (or fan) can correct me, I believe that Monday’s standings are the first appearance of the Lady Falcons at #1! Celebrating the life of Morgan Boisson
Wednesday, Oct. 20 marked the first anniversary of Morgan Boisson’s sudden death from altitude sickness while traveling in Tibet with friends from the University of Arizona’s Yangtze International Study Abroad Program. His 21st birthday would have been Nov. 23, 2009.
Hosted by his parents, Creekers Cyril and Elizabeth Boisson, and his younger sisters, Alix and Christine, Morgan’s friends will gather at The Buffalo Chip on Sunday, Oct. 24 from noon – 3 p.m. to remember – and celebrate – his joyous spirit and love of life.
Morgan, a 2005 Football Falcon, graduated from Cactus Shadows in 2006 after receiving the United States Marine Corps “Distinguished Scholar Athlete” award. He was beloved as “Big Bear” by his fellow cheerleaders at U of A. On Dec. 19, 2009, U of A honored Morgan by posthumously bestowing upon him a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Cum Laude, in East Asian Studies.
Born in his father’s native France, Morgan, affectionately known to his friends as “Frenchy.” will live forever in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.
