A different kind of fare at 34 Easy Street Restaurant

CAREFREE – It's a little off the beaten path, off the main drag but definitely worth the effort to find and dine within. Carefree's newest eatery, 34 Easy Street Restaurant and Bar, opened about a month ago. The feedback has been as favorable as the food.
"'We'll be back' or 'We'll tell all our friends to come in' are frequent comments we get when people are leaving," offered Eddie Elliott, front of house manager.
Folks may recognize Elliott's name from the world of entertainment. In addition to managing 34 Easy Street, yes, he is the same singer/musician who performs live at various Desert Foothills venues. He will be singing at the first annual 34 Easy Street New Year's Eve party. So, great food, live entertainment, a champagne toast at 10 p.m. with the celebrants at Times Square, all for a mere $59!
Of course, neighbors and friends need not celebrate a holiday to dine at 34 Easy Street. They are open Monday through Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. The dining room has been remodeled from its former establishment. With the lights low and the fireplace aglow, Elliott said, "When I look around in here, it's very romantic, intimate."
Warm and inviting it is, and the food is hot (when necessary!) and tasty. It's been dubbed Latin and global cuisine with items such as Easy Enchiladas, the number one seller, mango avocado salad, "ridiculously refreshing and tasty," and a cookie ice cream fusion for dessert.
Check out the full menu at www.34easystreet.com. The food is similar to Mexican cuisine, however, it tends to feel less heavy.
Between the talents of chefs Eric Guerin and Brett Howard and the fresh, home cooked ingredients, 34 Easy Street Restaurant and Bar is certain to become a Carefree staple. And, the happy hour can't be beat. Monday through Friday, 4 – 6 p.m., stop in for $1 mini (7 oz.) Coronas, mini margaritas for $3 and half-price ($5) appetizers.
Weekend reservations are advised and are required for the New Year's Eve festivities. Phone 480-595-9909 for details.
