CAVE CREEK – After being continued from the Sept. 21 meeting, council voted 6-1, with Vice Mayor Ernie Bunch dissenting, to accept roads from the North Mountain Reserve Homeowners Association as a deed of gift to the town and accept a letter agreement between the town and HOA for maintenance of the access roadway to the roads.

ICE slights MCSO on 287(g) where drug and human smuggling reigns

WASHINGTON – On Friday, John Morton, assistant secretary for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), announced the agency has entered into standardized Memorandums of Agreement (MOA) with 67 state and local law enforcement agencies to participate in 287(g) partnerships.

Poor eyesight, good hearing and they smell

These Collared Peccaries, more commonly known as Javelinas, were traveling as part of a larger group in the unincorporated county island area along 64th Street. Because they emit a strong odor, one can often smell a Javelina before spotting it, which is why it is also referred to sometimes as a Musk Hog.
