Remember in Nov. 2008 and Nov. 2012 when angry Republican voters took to the streets to protest Barack Obama’s election to the presidency? Remember how Republicans blocked major intersections in 16 large cities? Remember how they burned flags, set fires, overturned cars and vandalized? Who can forget how the Young Republicans on campus marched and vandalized their colleges since the elections didn’t go their way. Do you recall how conservative students cried to their professors that they were too emotionally distraught and stressed out to take upcoming tests? The liberal professors obliged since the student’s tender feelings were hurt. Remember how GOP students wore diapers in protest while staging a cry in? Somebody call Dr. Phil quick.
The reason you don’t recall these events is because they never, ever happened. All of these events and more occurred after the 2016 election when Donald Trump shocked the world by defeating America’s favorite e-mail eraser, Hillary Clinton. When John McCain lost in 2008 and Mitt Romney lost the 2012 presidential election, their Republican followers were upset and sad and depressed. But nobody resorted to mindless violence, vandalism, out-of-control protests and disruption of college campuses.
That is the main difference between Republican and Democrat voters. Republicans obey the rule of law. Democrats only obey mob rule when they lose.
Four words of sage advise to distraught Democrats: Suck it up, buttercup.
