WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) announced its presence on 800 campuses nationwide, adding 125 chapters just this year alone. Semester after semester, our grassroots chapters expose thousands of people to the ideas of liberty. Now more than ever, these YAL chapters are on the front lines of political discourse among America’s youth.
With such growth, YAL reinforces its position as the largest, fastest-growing, pro-liberty student organization in the country. We attribute our growth and influence to the ideals of liberty, because we strongly believe that liberty can bring together people from all backgrounds.
“Most students feel disengaged in our nation’s current political discourse, and YAL gives them the opportunity to express their First Amendment rights and civil liberties while preserving our Founder’s small-government ideals. Our young activists will play a key role in the nation’s political future and we will continue to carry the torch of liberty on America’s college campuses,” said YAL Executive Director Cliff Maloney, Jr.
