Truth about candidate Colleen’s fictions & other’s

I don’t know why candidate Colleen, and husband Stuart, left CA.  I never asked them, and they never shared their reasons with me – none of my business.  Further, nobody I know cares where they came from.  Bottom line on that fiction is that many living in Carefree came from somewhere else.  The CA escapees are usually the smart ones.  It may be several natives that are the problem.   ASU alums Peterson and candidate D’Aliesio probably understand.

That said, public facts are relevant.   Colleen was endorsed by the Scottsdale Association of Realtors PAC and did accept their $500.   Lon Johnson and Vince D’Aliesio were also endorsed by the same PAC, but Lon declined the $500 offered, Vince did not.    Vince also accepted $2,000 from 4 residents, $500 each from Tony Geiger, Cheryl Kroyer, Mike Johnson , and Nancy Keller.  Just verifiable facts.

As far as Colleen’s political aspirations are concerned, I know what I heard from the horse’s mouth, but I’ll let future history answer that “fiction” claim.  Past history shows that after arriving in Carefree, both Colleen and Stuart joined the Republican party as committee members.  Husband Stuart is now Carefree’s Captain of our Legislative district in that party.  Interestingly, Colleen has Stuart’s endorsement for not only a committee spot but also for a council seat here.  I’ll pose a question to Bob Gomez, Chairman, LD3 Republican Party and Maricopa County Chairman Craig Berland asking if the ‘party’ endorsed Coleen for a non-partisan local election.  I’m not sure that is kosher but we’ll see.  Facts Matter.

Both Bill Oelman and Jim Northcutt recently had letters printed in The Sonoran News and Carefree Unity.  Both have opinions about independent candidates Diane Roth and Lon Johnson.  Both share their unsurprising negative perspective,  not unexpected  for two guys who blindly supported the property Tax ballot proposition,  support the shadow government of Les Peterson and his outreach vehicle Carefree Unity and their common candidate slate.  Oelman was a principal of the Peterson inspired Pro-Tax PAC.  Northcutt was an avid Pro-Tax supporter on the ‘Carefree Infamous Voter Forum’ and was banned for a time because of bad behavior.  Yes, historical Facts Matter too.

Resident Anton Wilke has decided to weigh-in on the Peterson/Unity slate candidates as well.  As a member of the Carefree Public Services Advisory Committee, appointed by Les Peterson, Anton and that committee studied ‘fire protection’ for 2 years, then revised their initial findings to recommend a property tax.  Sadly, they  failed to address the single most important resident concern, EMT response time.  I didn’t trust his judgement then and I do not trust it now. I believe voters are smarter than those pushing the Peterson/Unity slate, including Anton.

For the record, I and CFM endorse Diane Roth, Lon John, and Steve Hatcher.
