The School of Musical Fish

Jubilate Conservatory of Music, supported by Kiwanis, held their annual Summer Intensive this year at Spirit in the Desert Retreat in the Town of Carefree.

The musical, written by Richard and Laya Field, took place at the bottom of the sea. Narrated by a lobster, the musical focused on the pitfalls of selfish thinking while illuminating the benefits of working together and showing kindness to others.

The production featured students from ages three to eighteen who came together to create their own orchestra and chorus with the help of the JCM faculty. The purpose of the Jubilate Summer Intensive is to demonstrate to students the value of knowing how to read music and focus together in a group effort.
