As President Reagan famously said, “Trust, but verify.”
After watching the recording of the Carefree Town Council Candidate Forum held on June 19, I am concerned about one particular candidate’s responses. This candidate mentioned that Carefree should have EV chargers, use crowd-sourced funding, which would be “voluntary”, to support our key local services, and how we should all do composting for “food security”. These ideas are exactly the slippery slope which have introduced Leftist policies that have destroyed towns and cities across the country. It is also important to note that on three separate occasions, at previous Town Council meetings, I have personally witnessed this candidate NOT reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Why is that? For someone who supposedly wants to represent our town, I find it extremely concerning when they cannot even recite our beloved country’s Pledge.
Do your research on the candidates. Watch or re-watch the Candidate Forum (found on the Carefree/Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce website) and listen to everyone’s responses. Our local election is very important, as the three key spots on the Town Council must be filled with people that truly embody the values and beliefs of Carefree, and who want to protect it for the future. We must reject the possible infiltration of ideals that go against what Carefree stands for. Please help to keep Carefree, carefree!
