I am running for one of the open town council spots for Carefree and I want to let you know why I am the right choice for Carefree. What matters to me are the following:
– Preserve Carefree– Preserving Carefree as the small, rural, charming town that it is.
– Smart development– While respecting private property rights, I do not want high density development like in Scottsdale.
– Keep Carefree’s original design– I would like architectural standards and design guidelines for the town center.
– Fiscal responsibility– We need to spend carefully and assure a growing and consistent revenue stream for the town.
– Safety- I will work with officials to make sure we are doing all that we can to protect our residents and our community from the crime and traffic incidents that seem to be occurring at an increasing rate.
– Water- I want to make sure any new development is in alignment with our available water, and we need to be diligent in securing our water needs for the future.
– Create a cohesive relationship between the town and the residents- I will work to bring together the resident’s concerns to the town so that decisions impacting the town are done with the input of the community.
I have been very involved with the town and the community. I attend all the town meetings. I meet with a variety of individuals, and I do my homework to get information firsthand so that I can evaluate the issues facing Carefree with the facts.
As your town council representative, I will work diligently to make sure we protect our town and its interests.
