So many things have to go right in order to succeed. Ask any small business owner what their biggest need is, and I’m sure a large portion of the answers would be to get the word out about their business.
Ads on television or radio are probably too costly for many, and direct mail is typically a guessing game.
That’s why so many businesses have come to need apps like TikTok. There’s plenty to dislike about TikTok, but there are so many success stories as well.
It’s a truly great way to help a small business grow. So why is Congress looking to ban the app that has helped so many business owners?
They shouldn’t be using a sledgehammer when small fixes are needed. Yes, there is a need for greater oversight and transparency, but that is across the board for all social media companies.
Senator Sinema has a chance to be a leading voice on this given her ability to work with both sides of the aisle. Here’s hoping that she does so. Because without TikTok, many small businesses would be in for some major hurt.
