Carefree – Foothills Caring Corps is set to enchant the Foothills community and media with an exciting event called the “Summer Caring Caravan.” Thanks to the generous donation of gift cards from the Albertsons Foundation/Safeway Stores, the organization aims to extend a helping hand to Neighbors in need. Volunteers will assemble goody bags filled with homemade treats and other surprises, along with gift cards, and deliver them to approximately 100 Neighbors across designated routes. Carefree Mayor, John Crane, and a representative from Albertsons/Safeway will also be present to make this initiative even more special. Join us in spreading joy and care throughout the community!

Timeline – Monday August 7th 2023
- 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Drop-off Window for Freshly Made Items
Volunteers will bring in their freshly made items during this time to contribute to the goody bags.
- 9:00 AM: Packing Begins
Volunteers will gather to start assembling the goody bags, including homemade treats and other surprises, in preparation for the “Summer Caring Caravan.”
- 9:30 AM: Carefree Mayor, John Crane and Representative from Albertsons/Safeway arrive.
- 11:00 AM: Bags and Route Info Pick-up
The packed goody bags and route information will be available for pick-up at this time. Volunteers can collect the bags and all necessary details to facilitate smooth deliveries.
