The regular meeting of the Cave Creek Town Council, Monday, October 17, was short but with significant action, including:
- In compliance with noted guidelines, unanimously (6-0) approved the transfer of $1,949,776.04 State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) from the Grant Fund 20 revenue account to the Cave Creek Water Fund revenue account.
- Approved AT&T Lease renewal for 5 years commencing July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2026.
- Approved Town Case: SPR-22-01 – Rare Earth Gallery II Site Plan Review for the development of a retail sales establishment to be located east of Cave Creek Road and north of Surrey Road, subject to the conditions of approval.
- A presentation for discussion only was given on updates to draft water and wastewater rates and capacity studies. While concern was voiced regarding “significant increases” and billing inequities, no action was taken.
