Competiton has always worked best in the US and parents know best how to educate their children! The money should follow the child – be it home schooling, pod schooling, private, charter or evengelical schooling.
How many teachers have left the non-public schools and have gone to the choice schools or home schooling??? Respect for teachers starts in the HOME with the parents.
Many poor and minority parents have CHOSEN voucher/choice schools for their children BECAUSE they want discipline and improved overall educational achievement opportunities for their children. The money, our tax dollars, following the child, provides all the parents the ability to choose vouchers for alternative school situations best for their child!
