Mark Anthony Nelson-Houze aka “Bo” aka “MOAM” of Carefree, AZ passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on March 8, 2020 at the age of 52.
Mark was born on November 15, 1967 in Monterey Park, CA. At the age of 5, with his parents, moved to Arizona where he has resided ever since.
Mark attended Black Mountain Elementary/Middle School in Cave Creek Arizona and graduated in the first graduating class at Cactus Shadows High School in 1986. After high school he started his own construction company building custom homes in the New River and Desert Hills area. Mark had a passion for life. He loved being outdoors, always living life to the fullest, always on the go, never a dull moment. He was an avid history buff and reader, never missing a museum, dragging his wife and kids to every one they came across. One of his favorite things to do on Sunday’s was to read the newspaper from front to back, every single word.
Mark had a great love for his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Susan, his 3 children Jordan, Jack and Kennedy, his parent’s Laverne and Vic Houze and Gerald and Cindy Nelson, his sister’s Phyllis, Sherry and Criquett, his brother’s Jerry, Vic, Marco, Hez and Ken, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mark is loved and cherished by many and will be greatly missed. A service will be held at Desert Hills Presbyterian Church, 34605 N Tom Darlington Dr, Scottsdale, AZ 85266, March 12, 2020 at 10:00 am.
