We see you arriving now with Your Out of State/Out of Country License Plates, Here’s a couple of friendly tips to help make your visit to our Town more enjoyable!
Our Residents, on most occasions, Smile & Say Hello to each other, please feel welcome to join this friendly tradition. Slow down, enjoy the view and the relaxed pace, that’s why you’re here.
In our Town Core of Cave Creek, we have just 1 stop sign @ Schoolhouse Road & we do indeed have a Speed limit. Please be sure to heed the 4-way Stop with Flashing Stop Sign & our Speed Limits. It amazes me Every year how many of our Visitors miss this Stop completely or don’t remember how to navigate a 4-way Stop Intersection as they have likely done for years in the Central or Eastern Time zones. Just yesterday I was driving & was passed on Cave Creek road in our 30mph zone, the Visiting vehicle (Indiana plates) resulted in a 53MPH message on our LED Traffic speed control system by Rancho Manana.
For crosswalks with Yield signs you only need to Stop to Yield -IF, and this is Important, only IF there are Pedestrians or Horses waiting to cross. Please do Yield to Pedestrians and Always, but always yield to our Horses.
What is your rush anyway…? aren’t you here on Vacation? Just think you may be the one soon walking in one of our Crosswalks visiting a local Shop, Gallery, Coffee house, Restaurant or Watering Hole, so Yield & Slow as you would want to be yielded to when you’re on Foot or Horseback. Also note Our Native Resident; Coyotes, Mule Deer & Javelinas never use our crosswalks-drive with Caution.
If you’d like to take a Local Guided Trail Ride on Horseback, we have several Stables to choose from, a quick Google search will help guide you. Trust me when & if you are on Horseback here, you’ll be much happier when cars don’t go speeding by you or missing stop signs.
Welcome & Enjoy your Visit.
