Dear Editor,
I decided to write this letter to share some actual good news that is happening in our government. The F-35 Fighter Jets, which we know are so vital to this state and our military bases, has made significant improvement in its costs, operations, and capabilities. It’s important to remember that Senator McCain was always a watchdog of this defense program, and while many feared that the program would run off the rails without someone like him keeping an eye on it, the program has actually turned a corner and is coming in below budget and above expectations in production. With Iran and other Middle East countries in constant turmoil, it’s important that the U.S. is ready with its weapons and air capabilities, and with this F-35 news, it sounds like we are.
