Mirth and merriment filled downtown Carefree Saturday afternoon, April 7. The first annual Carefree Block Party brought games, food, and more for the community to enjoy. Among the most popular were the Cornhole tournament, dunk tank, and the hot dog eating contest. Local businesses showed off their goods and services and food and beverages were available for sale. Proceeds from those consumables as well as proceeds from the dunk tank and the Cornhole tournament all went to benefit a number of local charities.
