Are you ready to stomp grapes, join a pizza dough throwing or spaghetti eating contest? The Carefree and Cave Creek Italian American Club is bringing the first of what they promise to be annual Italian Festival. The two day event will happen the weekend of April 14 and 15 with gates open 10am – 6pm each day. It will be held at 100 Easy Street in the parking lot of Corrado’s Italian Restaurant. Try Bocce Ball, view Italian cars, listen to Italian music, or sample Italian wine, espresso, gelato, or loads of other Italian treats. There will be a kid zone and you can purchase delectable treats at an Italian Farmer’s Market.
The local Italian American Club was founded less than a year ago with the objectives to develop fellowship through social and cultural activities among its members and to pursue philanthropic endeavors. A portion of the proceeds from the festival will benefit Domestic Shelters, a service of Theresa’s Fund, a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that has provided solutions to all forms of family violence since 1992.
The Club will also be having its monthly dinner meeting at Oregano’s on Thursday April 19 at 6:30pm. For more information visit the Carefree and Cave Creek Italian American Club Facebook page.
