Upcoming road paving projects in Cave Creek

The Town of Cave Creek Public Works Department has scheduled repaving for three roads starting on May 5, with crews setting up road restrictions. Beginning May 12, Red Dog Drive, Palo Verde Pass, and Chuckwalla Trail in the Red Dog Ranch community will undergo work. The contractor will mill and remove the top layer of the road before installing a thicker pavement. Local traffic will still have access, but delays are expected. This roadwork is anticipated to be completed by Tuesday, May 20.

From May 21 to May 27, contractors will completely pulverize the existing asphalt on School House Road, extending from East Cave Creek Road to just past the intersection at East Military Road. They will mix the ground asphalt into the subgrade surface, then grade and compact the newly mixed material before paving the road.

Starting on May 28 and continuing through June 6, East 32nd Street, from East Carefree Highway north to East Maddock Road, will undergo similar treatment as School House Road.

For updates on these projects, follow the Town’s social media or the Town’s website at www.cavecreekaz.gov.
