Cave Creek Museum’s Kiwanis Family Day presents Wildlife Watchers

Kiwanis Family Day, in conjunction with Cave Creek Museum, presents Wildlife Watchers on Sunday, January 12, 2025  from 2-4 PM at Cave Creek Museum.

During the fun event, the Desert Awareness Committee will set up six stations so children can rotate through them while learning about desert plants and animals.

“How well do you know our desert wildlife,” says Kathy Dwyer, executive director for the museum. “Where do they live? Who hunts (predator) and who hides (prey)? Are they carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores? How can you tell? Can you spot them just by their tracks, or maybe by their…scat? If you’re curious about desert predators and prey, their habitats and more, come to the museum for a fun, hands-on, interactive adventure. Learn from experts at the Desert Awareness Committee and Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center as they guide you through the amazing world of desert creatures. Don’t miss out on this wild experience.”

The workshop is free thanks to the generous support of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree.
