It is important to recognize that the employees of the town of Carefree are hardworking individuals, dedicated to making our town a better place for all of us. However, after listening to the presentation by Craig Morgan of Sherman and Howard, and reading the posting on the Town’s website it is clear that a resident of Carefree orchestrated a smear campaign against certain members of the Town staff based on false information. This regrettable effort, hopefully, will cause us all to pause using heated speech based on rumor and unverified information. Lowering the temperature of our rhetoric and engaging in civil discourse might help in bridging some of the divide in the community.
