Cave Creek Museum’s unique Southwestern and historically imaginative gift shop is a draw for residents and visitors during the museum’s season, which began October 2, 2024.
According to Stacy Holland, gift shop manager, the shop has become a must-see for people touring and visiting the museum.
“Our wide array of books about Arizona and its history and illustrated children books featuring animal and plant stories appeal to those who tour our grounds,” says Holland. “We have beautiful Southwestern paintings, stuffed animals, fun accessories, clothing, jewelry and specialty desert-themed gifts. It is fun to see people get into shopping for gifts and treasures.”
In addition, the shop also now offers memberships starting at $50 per year with loads of benefits, ranging from free admissions and in-museum discounts, to free guest passes, discounts, one’s name on the distinguished donors wall and invitations to special events, among others. After all, says Holland, the gift of history is one of the greatest gifts a friend or family member can give to another.
“You don’t have to fight traffic or elbow your way into a shopper frenzy to find gifts for the special people in your life,” adds Holland. “Visitors are amazed at our museum collections and always are glad they visited, with many returning and bringing their friends and visiting family.”

Cave Creek Museum Presents to host Roger Naylor on “Arizona’s National Parks and Monuments”
The Cave Creek Museum Presents will feature Roger Naylor on the subject of Arizona’s National Parks and Monuments on December 7, 2024 from 2-4 PM at the museum.
Naylor, an award-winning Arizona travel writer and author, will showcase some of the extraordinary array of national park units – 34 in all – that blanket Arizona from border to border. They range from the volcanic sprawl of stone hoodoos crowning Chiricahua National Monument to the badlands of Petrified Forest National Park colored like blood and peaches. The presentation extends to the miles of seductive shoreline at Lake Mead National Recreation Area to the never ending diversity of the Arizona National Scenic Trail that traverses the length of the state.
Naylor has been in love with Arizona since arriving as a wide-eyed college student. For decades, he has explored the state while writing about his discoveries. He specializes in national and state parks, lonely hiking trails, twisting back roads, diners with burgers sizzling on the grill, small towns, ghost towns and pie. Naylor’s work has appeared in The Arizona Republic, USA Today, The Guardian, Country Magazine, Arizona Highways and dozens more. He was inducted into the Arizona Tourism Hall of Fame in 2018 and is the narrator of the Verde Canyon Railroad. To make reservations, visit cavecreekmuseum.org as there is a limit and this workshop will sell out quickly.
