It seems like every few months there is an article in this newspaper about the Town of Cave Creek purchasing something for the Fire Department. The latest is a fire water tanker at the cost of nearly half a million dollars. These purchases make great headlines and help the Mayor get elected again.
While it is true public safety is very important, these purchases seem to be endless. The same is true for grants to various organizations such as art. There are other important issues that need to be addressed, such as street maintenance. When do we in Whispering Hills get our turn Mr. Mayor?
