As the Carefree Town Council election fast approaches, ask yourself, how well do you really know the candidates?
Do you want someone who is still upset about the Property Tax loss and mentions it, whenever the Town’s finances and revenue generation are discussed? Probably not. How about someone who wants to introduce Left-leaning progressive policies that clearly do not fit into our Town? Absolutely not. What about people with relevant experience who are dedicated to preserving Carefree, who are trustworthy, transparent, and who want to engage and work with residents? Yes, definitely!
Colleen Rose-Scurti, Diane Roth, and Lon Johnson are the best and most qualified candidates for Carefree Town Council. After having opportunities to engage with them in varying capacities, I know that they are detail-oriented, open minded, thoughtful, diligent, make decisions based on facts, and are focused on preserving the unique character of Carefree that we all treasure.
At the Candidates’ Forum, they all proposed realistic ideas to help address the challenges that the Town faces, while understanding the residents’ desire to protect Carefree and not have it become a mini-Scottsdale or even a mini-Cave Creek. Combined, they bring a wealth of professional experience across different industries that will be an invaluable asset to the Council.
I know that they will listen to residents’ concerns and will encourage open dialogue to help rebuild trust and promote transparency.
Once again, before you cast your vote, I encourage everyone to watch or re-watch the Candidates’ Forum from June 19. Research the candidates and learn about who they are and what they really represent.
Our local election is very important. Vote wisely.
