Business: Support nonprofits with collaborative space

Commemorate the July opening of the new Cave Creek Collective and be part of a mosaic “quilt” of canvas squares made by the community.

“Nestled in the heart of our vibrant community, Cave Creek Collective is more than just a space—it’s a movement,” says owner Vicki Orrico who also owns Carefree Consignment, which just celebrated its ninth year in business. “Here, creativity flourishes, and connections are forged. We are a diverse group of artists, makers, thinkers, and doers united by our passion for creativity and our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.”

Orrico believes that by providing a collaborative space, she can inspire innovation, support local talent, and create a positive impact on our community.

Orrico is asking that community members pick up a Mosaic Quilt Canvas Packet from either Cave Creek Collective, 6070 E Cave Creek Rd, Cave Creek or Carefree Consignment, 100 Easy Street, Carefree. There are no restrictions regarding subject matter or the kinds of materials you can use to contribute your own work of art to this project. It must be appropriate for display in The Studio, created using the canvas supplied, and must not exceed the 6-inch by 6-inch dimension or spill over the edge of the canvas. Any and all media are acceptable. A simple donation of $10 will buy one 6-inch by 6-inch canvas. Drop off completed canvases by September 1 to Cave Creek Collectives, 6070 E Cave Creek Rd.

“The exciting part of this project is bringing your friends and family to see the Cave Creek Collective Studio Mosaic Quilt wall as it grows,” adds Orrico.
