Cave Creek – Members of the American Legion Post 34 auxiliary work tirelessly to serve Arizona veterans in need. One of the ways they accomplish this goal is by buying fresh meals for residents of the Arizona State Veteran Home-Phoenix.

In June, several auxiliary members made special arrangements to take seven veterans who currently live at the home out to lunch at an area Outback Steakhouse. The Post 34 auxiliary regularly supports the veteran non-profit through donations of personal needs as well as personal time.

“We so enjoyed having lunch and visiting with the veterans,” says Susie Snider, one of the auxiliary’s event planners. “It was a blessing for everyone.”
