As our local election primary draws near, it can be an exhaustive process trying to distinguish between candidates who truly represent the voices of Carefree from those who are tempted by the power the position may hold. I for one am sick and tired of the status quo politician. As I carefully listened to the town council candidate’s responses at the town hall last week, one candidate pleasantly surprised me in particular.
Colleen Rose-Scurti is that candidate. Colleen’s answers definitively showed she had done the hard work of retrieving facts and she conveyed the information and a plan like a pro. I have talked with Colleen at the Post Office and on other occasions and I am extremely impressed with her knowledge, energy, diligence and her ability to truly listen to the people of Carefree. For example, as a current Carefree Committee Woman, Colleen has taken the initiative to keep residents in the loop of important meetings, events and issues that are top priorities to Carefree residents.
Her communication pinpoints what we care most about in Carefree. Colleen Rose-Scurti is exactly what the Carefree town council and residents need! Colleen whole-heartedly has my vote.
