The Fountain Hills Women’s Club will present its 50th Anniversary “Gold in Them Hills” Gala Luncheon and Fashion Show on March 9, 2024 at We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and time is running short to get your tickets, sponsorships, program ads, and auction item donations!
Friday, February 23 is the deadline for businesses and organizations to become a sponsor for this exceptional event or to take out an ad in the event program. February 23 is also the deadline for donations of items to be included in the silent and live auctions for the fundraiser, the proceeds of which go to providing scholarships for women, age 23 or older, in the local community to continue their education and to two graduating seniors from Fountain Hills High School.
Tuesday, March 5 is the deadline to purchase tickets for the event. Tickets are $75 per person for club members and guests, with attendees to include both women and men from throughout the area.
The Women’s Club’s only scholarship fundraiser each year is always a springtime luncheon and fashion show, but this year’s celebration is expected to be truly special to mark the club’s golden anniversary, with five decades as a social and service volunteer organization. Popular TV personality Cory McCloskey will serve as the guest emcee and provide a standup comedy routine for the audience. Local boutique Classy-Jazzy will present a unique fashion show, with a portion of purchases made after the event by attendees who visit the shop going back to benefit the Women’s Club. Guests will also enjoy a delicious hot plated luncheon, a cash bar, beautiful prizes in the silent and live auctions, and a 50/50 cash raffle.
All of this will be held against a video backdrop with images from the Fountain Hills Women’s Club’s long history and tremendous impact on the township of Fountain Hills. Did you know that the club was a primary benefactor for the construction of the Fountain Hills Community Center and a contributor to the Fountain Hills Library Association, the development of the Fountain Hills Botanical Garden, the establishment of mail delivery for certain streets in the early days of the township, and a supporter of many other community organizations?
