The support of local merchants for Carefree Park’s upcoming October 21st Informational Presentation has been amazing and overwhelming!
We received donations of items or gift certificates for our silent auction and door prizes from: Max from Ortega’s Turquoise Trails; Don from Grinds & Gears; Keeler’s Steakhouse; Venue’s Café; Carefree Spirits; Desert Maven; Weeds Botanicals; The People’s Chemist; Jill Taylor and Equinimity.Art; Time to Ride AZ; Carefree’s Rural Metro Fire Department; Carefree Honey; and Mayor John Crane.
This will be a fun and informative event, and I’d like to encourage everyone to attend. We will hear from our County Supervisor, Tom Galvin, Mayor John Crane, Maricopa County Parks & Rec Director RJ Cardin, Arizona Parks & Trails Program Director and Jeff Schmidt.
Carefree Park’s mission is to acquire, preserve and make accessible the 48-acre parcel of State Land in Carefree. 89.7% of General Plan survey respondents identified Natural Open Space and Resource Preservation as the most essential/most important trend in Carefree, while 81% indicated Open Space Preservation is the #1 issue to focus on.
