Citizens of Maricopa County

Are You Registered to Vote?

If yes, it is suggested that everyone check the status of their registration well ahead of registration deadlines. Some voters are surprised to learn on election day that for some reason, they are no longer registered and now must vote with a provisional ballot. Go to www.BeBallotReady.vote to check your status.

If no, you can register to vote in Maricopa County at www.elections.maricopa.gov

What do I need to do if I am registered but move before the election dates above?
If moving to a new address – Update your registration with your new address at www.my.arizona.vote
What if I fail to register or update my registration with my new address?
If you are a mail-in voter, you will not receive a ballot in the mail.
If you arrive to vote in person without being registered or are still registered to your old address, you will be asked to vote provisionally. Voting provisionally means that you get to submit a ballot; but if you’re not registered or your address does not match your ID, it won’t count.

How far in advance of the registration deadline should I submit my registration form to assure I will be in the system by election day?

Maricopa County cannot provide a standard turn-around time to have your registration processed. Large volumes of requests and available resources could delay their ability to process quickly and in time for the election. It is highly recommended that you submit your registration no later than 60 days before an election if possible. Then check the status of your registration at www.BeBallotReady.vote two weeks later to assure you are in fact registered.
