Grateful to be Served by the Carefree Water Company

When the Carefree Water Company acquired the water accounts served by the Town of Cave Creek within Carefree, as one of those customers, among the reasons I supported the change was the robustness of the Carefree System. Carefree draws from water from wells and the Central Arizona Project (CAP). CAP water is delivered to Carefree, after treatment by Scottsdale’s state-of-the-art water treatment plant.

In contrast, the Cave Creek Water company draws CAP water through a single pipe passing through three pumps and delivered to their treatment plant. In July one of those pumps was damaged. Usage alerts encouraging strict water conversation measures were posted Friday morning, July 28. The Cave Creek Water Company worked tirelessly to complete repairs that same day and thankfully the following Monday morning the request to reduce water usage was lifted.

In 2019, I stood front of the Carefree Town Council requesting reliable water be delivered to ALL citizens of the Town of Carefree. Today, I am grateful for the redundancy built into the Carefree water system and am thankful to live in a Town that years ago had the foresight to bring all Carefree customers under the service umbrella of the Carefree Water Company.
