Following a presentation from Cave Creek Rodeo Days at Monday night’s, July 18 meeting of the Cave Creek Town Council, there were only 2 significant motions approved:
- Cave Rodeo Days was reported to be a major success, fully sold out, but with work remaining to bolster vendor sales, improve the golf tournament, attract tourists, build bathrooms, make physical improvements.
- Motion approved the purchase of a new Grit Classifier Unit for the Wastewater Treatment Plant from Zima Corporation, for an amount not to exceed $83,994.
- Authorized an application to the U.S. Department of the Interior’s WaterSMART Programfor a grant to fund the replacement of existing individual user water meters with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters, for an amount up to $500,000.
