To help ease traffic congestion at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, ride-sharing services, such as Lyft and Uber, will be located at WestWorld (16601 N. Pima Road). Continuously running buses will shuttle attendees between the tournament and WestWorld, about a five-minute ride. The buses will operate from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
When attendees open associated rideshare apps at the tournament, they will be directed to the shuttle buses at Bell Road, immediately east of the event entrance.
Rideshare customers arriving at the tournament can still choose to use the “stop and drop” location on Greenway-Hayden Loop, north of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard, just south of Bell Road. However, it is highly recommended to avoid using the “stop and drop” Wednesday through Sunday to avoid traffic congestion.
“We expect the shuttle from WestWorld to be faster than using the ‘stop and drop,’” said Walt Brodzinski, right-of-way supervisor for the city of Scottsdale. “The shuttle will be able to avoid much of the traffic congestion near the tournament parking lots.”
