Muslims in American Congress

dr rick

I wrote earlier about why I do not think a Christian country can have individuals with Muslim ideologies as congressional leaders. Many Americans are oblivious to the various cultures in the world and we are always trying to place American values on those people. It is not surprising that we do not understand other cultures. We are no longer taught about our own. Civics is no longer necessary.

I reiterate and cannot possibly do so with any more force. A Muslim cannot be a congressional leader in the United States of America. I am not being racist! I do not want someone swearing to uphold my constitutional rights while swearing on their Bible that advocates killing me. Is their ideology different from ours? You be the judge. They will not allow you to serve in their country either. It only makes sense. A female’s belligerence in their country as contrasted to ours results in death. The belligerence we are witnessing lately among our congressional leaders has become the norm. We are truly blessed in America, just not with good sense sometimes.

When I first arrived in Kotiala, Mali as a Christian missionary it was a rather rude awakening. I did not consider myself that sheltered but they would soon change my mind. I leaned out through the window waving my fist and yelling at a person beating a donkey. I cannot tolerate cruelty to animals. Everyone on the street looked at me as if I were crazy. An elderly female German missionary sitting beside me gently tugged at me to get me back inside the window of the Jeep we were in. Only a few hundred yards up the road I repeated the scene. This time the German missionary said I was going to get everyone killed if I kept that up. She then said the two things you do not want to be in Africa is a woman or a donkey. Both are beaten daily and often.

I was horrified the first time I saw a sign up with an old lady grimacing, with a scalpel between her teeth. There was a red circle with a red slash across her face. I asked what on Earth is that. The other missionaries explained to me that they were trying to do away with female circumcision. The old woman of the village does it. In the Kotiala Christian Women’s and Children’s Hospital where I was performing surgery and delivering babies, only a couple weeks earlier, we had a young female removed who showed up a couple days later almost unable to walk.

The fifteen-year-old child had been taken away to the old woman of the village. The one with the scalpel between her teeth. This child was held down by her captors while, without anesthesia, her female genitalia were cut off. Yes, more moderate Muslims say they do not believe in female genital mutilation also known as female circumcision, but it will be carried out approximately 2,000,000 times this year.

This practice is now spreading to Europe and North America. Of course we Americans want to honor all religious practices so go ahead, mutilate your children.

Not too long ago I read about a fourteen-year-old Arab child who was stoned to death under Sharia law because she had seduced three old male friends of her fathers, the friends who had brutally raped her. Of course, these three said she seduced them and no one believed the child so she had to die. She was wrapped in a white sheet and stoned until movement stopped and the sheet was soaked in blood. To the credit of the Muslims, while stoning a child, they are supposed to have a Koran under their throwing arm so the force will not be quite so great. I have no words for what my heart feels about this but I hope yours is crying.

The Women’s and Children’s hospital was really good about emailing me for over one year and then abruptly the emails came to a stop. Somali guerrillas came through the hospital and killed all the people in the hospital. There were probably close to thirty while I worked there. Why? They were Christians.

I hope all of you will let me keep sharing with you about just how different ideologies can be. You decide if a person with an ideology such as this can be a congressional leader. For someone who has left their faith and does not subscribe to or believe in any of the practices I am describing above and can swear their oath on a Christian Bible, they can serve. Nancy Pelosi should probably start putting her hand on the Christian Bible.
