The Town of Carefree is hosting a Community Block Party on Saturday, April 7, from 3pm to 7pm. The festivities are not intended just for Town residents, it’s meant for the whole community, Cave Creek, North Scottsdale, The Foothills, North Phoenix, and anyone in the Cave Creek Unified School District. The concept was created by Town Employees and Council Members as a way for people to get to know their neighbors and create a greater sense of community. Best of all, admission is free.
A number of fun events are slated for the day including a dunk tank, photo booth, corn hole tournament, a hot dog eating contest, free face painting, mini golf and kids games. The Kiwanis Splash Pad will also be open, so bring your swimsuits. If you are interested in the corn hole tournament or hot dog eating contest featuring Nathan’s Hot Dogs, please pre-register on the Town’s website, carefree.org.
There will also be available for sale hamburgers, hot dogs, chili dogs, lemonade, and beer and wine. Some of the charities benefitting from these sales are, Foothills Caring Corps., Foothills Food Bank and Desert Hills YMCA. Come on out and meet your neighbors!
