It was people, not cars, that filled the parking lot a Desert Foothills Library on Sunday, March 25. Putting a new twist on their annual gala. Attendees sampled a selection of goodies from food trucks and got up close with some visiting raptors from Wild at Heart Raptor Center. Authors were on hand for book signings while karate instructors taught attendees how to break wooden boards. The library is a nonprofit community funded library currently in the middle of a five year expansion program.
