PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks encourage fans to arrive early on Wednesday and enjoy a street festival starting at 3:00 p.m. along 4th Street and Jackson prior to the Wild Card Game. Gates to Chase Field open at 3:00 p.m. and first pitch is scheduled for 5:08 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 4:30 p.m. to enjoy the pregame festivities, which include:
* Ceremonial first pitch by NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner
* National anthem performed by Jesse McGuire
* 90’ x 180’ American flag in the shape of the United States, held by uniformed Military members, Phoenix Police and Fire personnel on the field
The D-backs will host a street festival beginning at 3:00 p.m. along 4th Street and Jackson and will feature live music from “Rock Lobster,” a beer garden, postseason merchandise truck and the D-backs Street Team. Game Seven Grill will open for lunch at 11:00 a.m. and remain open for an hour postgame. Mark Zubia from “The Pistoleros” will perform in the Draft Room, presented by Four Peaks, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
The first 45,000 fans in the ballpark will receive a D-backs Rally Towel, courtesy of Cox Communications, Fry’s Food Stores and PetSmart. Wednesday’s game will also be the first Major League Baseball postseason game to feature dogs in the stands at PetSmart Patio. Throughout the postseason, fans will be able to participate in the D-backs 50/50 Raffle in ballpark, in which half of the jackpot will benefit the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. In addition, fans can purchase postseason game-used and team-issued items at D-backs Authentics.
Fans can still access postseason tickets by purchasing a 2018 ticket plan, including full season, half season, series plan or weekend plan, which are available at dbacks.com/seasontickets or 602.462.4600. A limited number of seats for the Wild Card Game will be released at a later date and fans should continue to check back at dbacks.com/postseason for information.
